The enx026472600378 interface is the phone. > It might be also [[ https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=82545 | this one ]] That issue has a bunch of complaints with no clear resolution.

Too bad. I thought this is the issue. Could you try the following: connect your phone by cable with your computer tethering switched on. What does "lsusb" and "ip link" tell you. Should be something like usb... or en..
Another idea, but i am not very convinced. Do you use some kind of security...firewall..protective software on your phone? It might block network traffic over usb and/or bluetooth
Forgot to mention. It might be also this one

On the laptop. I guess you use networkmanager. There you are able set up your connection parameters and your should be able to deselect ipv6

Today after an update again I ran in an kernel panic. If I remember me correctly there was some updates for busybox as alexander255 wrote. And I got a message that kernel 4.4.something stays unconfigured.
I attached a screenshot from my virtual machine. Maybe it helps to find the problem.

Thanks for that information.
It seems that console-setup might be the problem. See this bug report in debian bugtracker.

Thanks for the hint. When a T4 beta is available I will try a fresh install again and see what happens. In case I don't have problems I would call this issue as settled.
I run atm a daily in a virtual machine since end of november. Never had a kernel panic since then.

and thanks for replying. I did a fresh install of the alpha. I checked mkinitramfs for the command copy_exec /sbin/switch_root /sbin but the file doesn't contain it. Line 279 is copy_exec /sbin/modprobe /sbin. Also somewhere else I couldn't find it.
After apt-upgrade and before a reboot the file is unchanged so there is stil no line with switch_root command. And still after receiving more than 500 updates I got the kernel panic.
Then I checked the file on my installation I made from the daily iso which until now runs well. Also there is no line with copy_exec /sbin/switch_root /sbin So I am not sure if this is the cause for the kernel panic.

I used d-i directly to install the alpha on a virtual machine. Means I didn't start the live session. Instead I used the option in the boot menu. Afterwards I added the guest additions from virtualbox to get a screen with a reasonable resolution. And then apt-get update and apt-get upgrade and the result is posted above. And this happens repeatably. Did it three times.
The actual daily (I started with 20th of november) behalfs completely different...no issues until now

now the full list
I did a complete new installation of the alpha-release. Then I did an update.
dpkg.log mentions a busybox update

but not busybox-initramfs

I retried the installation with the alpha-release-iso to exclude that I caused the problem. After the installation I did an update (more than 300 packages was updated) an immediately made a reboot.
Same result...a kernel panic...kernel stayed on 4.2.0-1
I did some tests. A second installtion with debian installer worked much better. Beside a few untranslated expressions the UI is now localized. But firefox and libreoffice still start with english UI. Installing of the l10n resp. locale files did the trick.
Btw it is the same story with the latest snapshot (20 of november)
Nov 18 2015
No it isn't fixed until now. Had neither the time nor the skills ;-)
Could you explain a bit more how tho do this
Nov 17 2015
Actual it is kernel 4.2.0-1-amd64. virtualbox is 5.0.4 ubuntu r102546.
Both starting normal as well as recoverymode leads to the kernel panic. As mentioned two days before I hadn't problems, but since the last update I made things went wrong.
And no I can't upgrade.

I tried dpkg-reconfigure locales. sddm now follows the locale settings. Also most kde programs are now completely localized. But still a few others stay in english, for example firefox and libre office are still completely in english. Furthermore the above mentioned error message of perl reappears during the process of reconfiguration.
So there is still an issue with locales.
Nov 12 2015
No, I didn't. After the installation all stayed english. Then I went to system-settings an choose my localization. After logging out and reloggin in I had this muddle of partially english and german
Actually I installed some updates.
During this process apt gave me some errors

Also this bug report could be of interest
owncloud-client 1.8.1 arrived in testing
owncloud-client 1.8.4 arrived in sid
owncloud-client 2.0.0rc1 arrived in experimental
I think a lot of users use owncloud, mee too ;-) One could benefit of the new version because then syncing with server version 8.1
Furthermore I had trouble with the client. It complaints that no tray system is installed. Thats wrong because in KDE the tray is up and working. Without having access to the client app you can't set up connections to the server.
