Dasyatis Live Image - Cannot install via Calamares or Non-GUI installer
Closed, ResolvedPublic

I've downloaded "tanglu-dasyatis-kde-live-i386.hybrid.iso" from 16-Jun-2016 02:34 to install it onto a VM (Virtualbox).
With both - Calamares and Non-Gui installer it fails because no kernel modules available.

After choosing language (English), location (Other/Europe/Germany), keyboard (German) and locales (en_US.UTF-8) I've got the following error message:

No kernel modules were found. This probably is due to a mismatch between kernel used by this version of the installer and the kernel version available in the archive.

If you're installing from a mirror, you can work around this problem by choosing to install a different version of Debian. The install will probably fail to work if you continue without kernel modules.

If continueing it ends at the network card detection because no card was found (yeah, sure, no modules ^^).

It was not that bad for me because it was possible to install from within the live session.

But anyway a workable installer would be nicer than installing the image ;-)

This should be fixed with today's nightly builds - d-i wasn't copied over to Tanglu 4.0 (Dasyatis kuhlii) corectly, so there was a kernel version mismatch.
Thanks for reporting the issue!
